Weddings and Special Events

Looking for a special event venue for a wedding or baby shower, rehearsal dinner, family reunion, or other occasion? We are happy to host your next gathering!

A History of Love and Family

Since our first wedding in 1834, when Anna Elizabeth Whitehurst married James Hanson in our home, we have been hosting unique and elegant weddings in the heart of Old St. Augustine. Bring the vision of your dream wedding to life in our private courtyard in a tropical oasis amongst banana plants, a rainbow of hibiscus, and many varieties of citrus. Your guests will enjoy the look and feel of old Spain without the trip abroad.

Celebrate in Historic Style

Looking for a quiet and effortless wedding venue with timeless romance?

Our 1798 Spanish-era buildings and gardens are the perfect fit. Relax with your family and friends on the lawn of our courtyard as you celebrate your special day. Enjoy memorable photographs along the brick streetscape of Aviles Street, the oldest street in America. Our historic home and gardens will provide picture-perfect memories for your happily ever after!

In addition to the beautiful gardens and courtyard of the Ximenez-Fatio House Museum’s property, the Aviles Street Historic District neighborhood has many restaurants, cafes, and art galleries for your guests to enjoy. Bed and Breakfasts and hotels are plentiful, with the Victorian Inn being our preferred partner.
